Welcome to Knife Skills Masterclass + Professional Knife Sharpening, a hands-on specialty workshop designed for home cooks who want to cook with greater confidence, speed, precision, and safety.
In this unique experience, you’ll bring one of your own kitchen knives, and our team will professionally sharpen it for you during the workshop. Then, with your freshly sharpened knife in hand, you’ll put it to work in an immersive knife skills session focused on the techniques that make prep faster, safer, and dramatically more enjoyable.
This is part culinary workshop, part practical kitchen maintenance class — perfect for anyone who owns decent knives but has never learned how to properly care for them or use them with confidence.

Guests will practice technique using common prep ingredients ingredients such as:

Guests will work hands-on with a variety of ingredients while practicing:
- Proper chef’s grip
- Guiding hand / claw technique
- Slicing
- Julienne
- Batonnet
- Fine and medium dice
- Rough chop
- Chiffonade
- Precision mincing
- Bias cuts
- Rock chopping
- Trimming and shaping
Optional Add-On
Additional knife sharpening may be added during booking for guests who’d like to bring a second knife.
Please Note
This is a highly interactive specialty workshop intentionally capped at 12 guests to preserve personalized coaching, safety, and hands-on engagement.
Standard straight-edge kitchen knives only. Serrated knives and heavily damaged blades may not be eligible for sharpening.
What's included
Professional sharpening of one of your own knives during the workshop, hands-on coaching in a small group (capped at 12), and all practice ingredients (herbs, onions, carrots, peppers). You'll leave with the grips, cuts, and maintenance know-how to prep faster, safer, and with more confidence at home.
What to bring
One of your own straight-edge kitchen knives and we'll sharpen it for you. Serrated or heavily damaged blades aren't eligible for sharpening. You can add sharpening for a second knife at booking.
Knowledge required
None. Safety is emphasized throughout, so it's approachable even for complete beginners.
